How Much Clearence Is There When Curt Hitch # C13043 Is Installed With Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack
Question:
I have a 2018 Lexus GX460, and I’m planning to also purchase the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - C13043. I am choosing the Curt over the DrawTite based upon another QandA that explained the Curt would stick out less from the back of the bumper. However the spare tire on the Lexus GX is right behind the mounting location for the hitch receiver. I’m concerned the combination of the shallow depth of the Curt and the tire just behind it may interfere with the needed depth for the Yakima Full Swing. Can you try to match these two items up in your warehouse, and see how far the Yakima sticks through the “backside” of the Curt Receiver? Thanks.

The Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack # Y02465 is 1-1/2" from the hitch pin hole and the back of the shank. I went out to our warehouse to measure how far the ends of the receivers are from the hitch pin holes. The Curt # C13043 measures 2-1/2 inches from the center of the rear mounting holes to the back of the receiver (towards the spare tire). When the FullSwing 4 Bike Rack # Y02465 is inserted inside the Curt # C13043, it will not stick out the back of the hitch. In fact you will have 1 " of clearance between the back of the shank of the FullSwing Bike Rack # Y02465 and the back of Curt hitch # C13043.
