Recommended Ball Mount Rise for 1-1/4 Inch Receiver
Question:
Hi, I am trying to use a tow ball with a 2inch rise in with my 1 1/4inch hitch. However, I can only find 2inch balls with 2inch rises with 1inch shanks. My 1 1/4inch draw bar has a 3/4inch hole. Can I safely enlarge the 3/4inch hole to 1inch and use the tow ball with the larger shank?

The hole in your Class II ball mount/draw bar cannot be enlarged without possibly reducing the towing capacity of the ball mount so I can't recommend it.
It sounds like you need a different rise for your trailer to tow level. You can get up to a 5 inch rise utilizing a ball mount with the 3/4 inch hole. I've attached a link to all your ball mount options as well as an article to help you select the correct rise for your application.
