2017 Prius 2 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Compatibility with Back Up Sensors
Question:
Looking for a trunk bike rack for my 2017 Prius 2 that wont interfere with my back up sensor. Not sure what’s causing the sensor to go off tire or a strap, but it causes an immediate brake and I cant back up.

For your 2017 Toyota Prius, I recommend the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634 will not interfere with backup sensors when there are not bikes installed. The Outer/Lower support frame rests on the lower portion of the license plate and both the upper hooks and lower hooks must be changed and installed in anchor mode per the installation instructions.
With bikes installed, I recommend using the Softride Soft Hook-and-Loop Tie Downs for Bike Racks # SR54FR to keep the front wheels on your bike from moving. I also recommend using the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005. This will add a top frame rail for step-thru frames for level transport. It also gives you the ability to adjust a bike's ride on the carrier to clear your backup sensors.
