Can I splice an extra wire on to the four flat I just purchased from you guys so it would accommodate the open post where the blue wire from the trailer goes to. If so which color wire on the 4 flat do I splice the extra lead into? Thanks

You'd have to use a 4-way to 5-way adapter as you'd need a separate pin for the 5th circuit. If you tried to run it on another circuit you'd have issues on both circuits. So the correct adapter you'd need is the part # 20036.

The fifth circuit would need to be ran to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle.

What you need is a 4 to 5-way adapter #20036. This plugs into your 4-way and allows you to run a circuit to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle. This will give you the ability to activate your reverse lock out solenoid.
