How to Install Trailer Brake Controller on 2016 Mercedes Sprinter Using Factory Plug
Question:
I am looking for a wiring diagramfor a 2016 Mercedes Benz sprinter with factory installed hitch and wiring. I have a Tekonsha brake control and obtained the green plug from Mercedes, for the factory prewired brake control plug. I need help identifying wire connections.

According to my research, the factory brake controller plug for your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 uses the red/yellow wire for 12V power (connect with black wire on brake controller), the black wire with red or brown tracer for brake light switch (red wire on controller), the black wire with blue tracer for brake output (blue wire on controller) and the brown wire for ground (white wire on controller).
If the wires on your harness are not labeled for function, I also recommend trying to verify this with a local Mercedes dealer, as an incorrect connection can damage the brake controller.
