Wiring Connections for Replacing the Prodigy P2 with the Tow-Pro Elite on a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
Hi, I presently have a Prodigy brake controller by Tekonsha installed on my 2007 Dodge SLT Ram Truck 3500 SRW. It was installed back in 2007 and has worked fine. If I switch to this brake controller can I use the present harness or the wires from the harness so that I do not have to go fishing? It has a red, white, blue and black wires. Thanks.

You are exactly right. The adapter part # 3020-P that you currently have on your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 for the Prodigy P2 # 90885 won't connect directly to the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR but the wires are color coded the same. Simply cut off the black connector edge of the adapter and connect the wires from the Elite color for color.
Not only is the Tow-Pro Elite one of the most versatile controllers out there, Redarc also made it extremely easy to upgrade older controllers.
