Outlet Kit Recommendation for Flat Towing Silverado with Blue Ox Patriot Braking System
Question:
I have purchased and installed all the recommended items to dinghy tow this vehicle and they all work well. Since this unit must have the battery disconnected during towing and I need a 12v power supply for the Patriot can I use a separate battery inside the truck to power the Patriot instead of running another set of wires to the battery.

Generally speaking most wouldn't recommend installing a battery in the interior of a vehicle. A lot of batteries need to vent and you having it vent in the interior where you'd be riding when driving wouldn't be safe. Best option is using the # RM-9332 to power the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.
