Why is the Door of the Rightline Gear SUV Tent # RL110907 on the Driver's Side

Question:

Why is the tent entrance on the driver side? All of the campsites are set up to back in and have the door on the passenger side like every camping trailer would be. Is there a reversed model to choose from?

The Rightline Gear SUV Tent # RL110907 is designed with the door on the driver's side so that the driver's seat of the vehicle can be accessed easier. It allows you to get cargo out of your vehicle and then park your vehicle elsewhere so that it becomes a standalone tent (if that is the desire).

We have other tent options but they are meant to be in the back of a pickup or do not have a floor and are considered to be more of a shetler than a tent. Since you wouldn't have a trailer hooked up to your vehicle it wouldn't be as difficult to back up in a campsite.
