Availability of 2 Bike Trunk Bike Rack For a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LT1
Question:
Will this bike rack fit on a 2011 Chevy Cruze LT1. My trunk is sealed at the top and does not have a space like some cars, where the straps for the bike rack can hook onto. For the straps that fasten at the top of the trunk would I just open the trunk and secure the hooks? I have viewed 3 of your trunk mounted bike racks. I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze LT1 without a spoiler. I am looking for a 2 bike carrier easy to install. The ones I looked at are Thule OutWay TH45JV, Yakima Fullback. Please let me know which one will be the best for my car. Thank you

The Yakima Fullback 2 Trunk Bike Rack, part # Y02634, will fit your 2011 Chevy Cruze. It attaches to your vehicle using 4 straps, which is common for many trunk mount carriers. I am including a link to a video of the bike rack being installed on a vehicle. The video will show you how the straps are attached to your vehicles trunk.
My recommendation would be the Thule OutWay 2 Trunk Bike Rack, part # TH45JV. This is one of the easiest bike racks to put on and take off of a vehicle. It uses only 2 ratcheting coated cables rather than flat straps like other bike racks. This rack is also very light weight at 13 pounds.
If you are going to be carrying women's or children's bikes that do not have the horizontal bar at the top of the frame, you will want to use the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982XT, for either of the bike racks. It attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar, so the bike can ride level on the bike rack. I am including a link to a installation video on the Thule adapter bar.
