Is it Possible to Use B and W Companion Hitch with Reese Revolution/Sidewinder Pin Box
Question:
I have a arctic wolf 295qsl8 made by Forrest river. It comes with a Reese revolution hitch. I am considering buying a chevy 2500hd crew cab short bed truck. I believe it is a 6ft bed. It has a BandW turnover ball already installed. I was wondering if I could pull my arctic wolf with a companion non- slider hitch. Without allowing the revolution hitch to rotate. The artic wolf has the front corners removed to help accommodate a short bed truck.

You'll have to lock out the Reese Revolution pin box to be able to use it with a B and W Companion hitch that attaches via the B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch. But once you do that you'd be fine. If the trailer has a tapered nose on it designed for short beds then you could then use the stationary Companion part # BWRVK3500.
To lock out the Revolution you will first need to make sure the wedge at the bottom of the Sidewinder is removed so it can pivot at the hitch. Then you will look under the turret. There will be 2 bolts or just bolt holes. These holes are for two 3/4 inch grade 5 bolts and nuts and will prevent the turret from rotating. Take a look at the instructions I have linked on page 6 for more on the lock out feature.
