Fifth Wheel AutoSlide Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2017 Silverado 2500HD with a 6.5 box. My fifth wheel on order is a Grand Design 303rl, dry weight 9,200lb with a 12,000lb gross. What is your recommendation for a reliable auto slide hitch? Cost? I like the videos I see of the Pullriite Super Slide 2700. But am not sure it is the best, most reliable, and cost effective. I also see that you dont sell it so am curious why? Any assistance would be helpful. Thank you!!

We carry the Demco Hijacker Autoslide fifth wheel hitches which in many ways are superior to the Pull-Rite hitches. The Demco hitch has an adjustable height unlike the Pullrite, the Demco uses adjustable brackets to secure to the side of the pin box instead of requiring a special capture plate, and the Demco costs less.

For an 18k AutoSlide you'd want the part # DM8550034 which will work great and then for a rail kit you'll want a custom install kit as it will minimize drilling and install time. For that you'll want the part # DM8552011-71 which is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed.
