Can Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK Tie Into Wiring Kit # RM-152 on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Hi, I bought the roadmaster night hawk tow bar and base plate from etrai ler. I installed the 6 pin adapter on the front of my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport and ran 4 wire to hitch. My question is, can I simply plug in the magnetic lights, no need for separate ground? My first thought was using your diode package but this seems way easier, If it works. Also, can I cut the 4 pin connector from lights and splice it back on to shorten the length since I have the 4 pin at the hitch? Thanks!

If you installed the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152 on your 2003 Jeep Wrangler then you shouldn't need the Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK.
However, if you did want to add the magnetic tow lights just for extra visibility you could tie in that 4-Way to the wiring kit that you already installed. Simply splice it in color for color using heat shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5. The lights will tie into the ground wire that you already ran.
Please note that the Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152 is used for receiving light signals from your motorhome and will not work for towing a trailer with your 2003 Jeep Wrangler. I only say thing because you said you ran the 4 wire to your hitch.
