Installation of a Derale Transmission Cooler on a 03 Ford Crown Victoria
Question:
Do you have specific instructions for installing on my Ford. How difficult and how long?

Installation instructions for transmission coolers are pretty universal, but there are some variances between different vehicles. With that being said, I do not have specific installation instructions for a Derale Transmission Cooler # D13503 on a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. I can offer you basic installation instructions that will apply towards your vehicle but will not be entirely specific.
The first thing you will want to do is locate the return line of your factory transmission cooler. In order to determine which line is the return line you will need to take your vehicle when it is completely cold and start up the engine and place the transmission into drive with the brake applied for no more than 10 seconds. Next, you will need to put your vehicle back into park and turn the engine off. If you feel both of the transmission lines the cooler of the two will be the return line.
The return line is the line to route to the # D13503 and from the return line of the # D13503 back to the return line of the transmission. You may also be interested in purchasing Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings # D13014 so you would not have to cut or flair any lines for the installation
Check out the FAQ and installation video I attached that detail how a cooler is installed onto a vehicle.
