I am not sure what the size of the puck hole is on your 2017 Nissan Titan XD but I can say that you shouldn't use the Remov-a-Ball Gooseneck Hitch Ball # 5973 with your OEM gooseneck hitch. This hitch ball is designed to be used with the model 6300 Remov-A-Ball gooseneck trailer hitches which have a pin that runs through the hitch ball.
Since your Titan XD doesn't have that pin to lock the hitch ball in place you need to use a hitch ball that has a self-locking feature. The most popular option we currently have is the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C60692. This comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball that has the self-locking feature as well as the safety chains loops which fit in the other 2 pucks.
