Recommendation for 20,000 Pound 5th Wheel Hitch to Use with Draw-Tite Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I currently have a Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs. Item # 9465-54 and the Hi-Rise 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 18,000 lbs . Item # 9480-5W. I need a 20,000lb Fifth wheel hitch. Is there a way to mount the BandW Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs. Item # BWRVK3500 on my PullTite undermount gooseneck? If not, what other options do I have?

I may have a solution for you, however the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # 9465-54 that you have installed in your Chevy Silverado is not compatible with the B&W Companion Hitch # BWRVK3500. This is because the B&W Companion is designed to fit the square gooseneck hole that the B&W gooseneck hitches provide, and it will not fit the round gooseneck hole on your Draw-Tite unit. There is not an adapter available to make the two systems compatible with each other.

To upgrade the capacity of your system, your best option might be with a gooseneck adapter like the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-C5G. This adapter will actually bolt to your trailer's king pin and then connect to the gooseneck ball in your truck. It features a 20,000 pound towing capacity and polyurethane cushions that will act as shock absorbers for a smooth and safe ride.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it works.
