Installing Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller in 2005 Chevy Silverado With Factory Connector
Question:
what is the right way to wire a tekonsa voyager controller to 2005 chevy silverado using the silverado provided connector. Do I have to swap power feed colors?

To install the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 brake controller in your 2005 Chevy Silverado you do not have to do anything but plug the factory connector into the electrical junction box on the driver's side, left of the brake pedal (assuming your truck has the factory 7-way). The brake control adapter is plugged into the second slot from the left on the top row.
If you do not have the factory 7-way you will need to use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7; you can then follow the specific directions in the linked article I've added which details how to install your controller.
