Troubleshooting Brake Controller Install on 2004 Chevy Silverado Where Controller Has No Power  

Question:

I have a 2004 chevy 2500 hd and I hooked it up with the plug in adapter. No power is to the devise does it have to be grounded to the trailer ball or hooked up to the trailer to show power.

When installing a brake controller in a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a harness like the Tekonsha part # 3015-P there are a few connections under the hood of the truck that need to be made to activate the brake controllers wiring.
