Can the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13152 be Installed on a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe at Home
Question:
I would like to install this class III trailer hitch on my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. I am trying to figure out if I can do the installation myself or if I need to bring it in to a mechanic to do it. I dont have access to a lift, so my question is, can I do the install with the car up on jack stands or, possibly, not even jacked up at all. If I have access to the underside, the install seems pretty straightforward. Please let me know your thoughts. By the way, I dont know squat about trailer hitches and your site is amazing in terms of all the info which is available. Thanks for the help!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13152, for your 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, is a very straightforward installation which Curt has rated a 3 out of 10 for the difficulty. I am confident that you can do the installation yourself but the only issue would be making sure you have enough room to get a torque wrench, like part # PTW3001C, under your car to ensure the bolts are installed correctly.
Attached is an installation video on a similar 2018 Santa Fe for you to reference.
Thank you very much for the kind words regarding our information! If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make some recommendations if necessary.
