Good day, Im looking to tow something with my 2016 Hyundai veloster turbo. Ive already picked out the #C11254. Ill be using a uhaul and I belive it requires a 2” ball. So Im looking to get that and perhaps a wiring kit for the trailers for like the tail lights to work and such.

Starting with the trailer hitch, the Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C11254 that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2016 Hyundai Veloster and will work well. This Class I hitch will provide you with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and features a towing capacity of 1,000 pounds. I also recommend verifying the vehicle's capacity by checking your copy of the owner's manual. You will always need to follow whichever limit is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's.

One thing of note on your particular vehicle as it relates to a trailer hitch is its center exhaust. Because this will line up right above the hitch receiver, you will want to try and remove the ball mount or any hitch-mounted accessory when it is not in use to avoid it being exposed to excessive heat. You will also want to mount any wiring at least 12 inches from the exhaust.

I have attached an installation video on the 2014 Veloster that you can use for reference.

Then, for a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56153. This custom harness will install by connecting to built-in ports located behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. This will give you a 4-Way connector that will connect with and power the trailer's basic signal lights. I have included the written installation instructions that you can take a look at.

For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Drawbar # C45521. This ball mount features a 2-5/8 inch rise or a 3-1/4 inch drop. You can pair it with the 2 inch Hitch Ball # A-82.
