Availability of a 7-Way to 6-Way Long Cable Trailer Connector Adapter for Flat Towing

Question:

Recently I purchased a Hopkins 7 pin blade to 6 pin round from Orieleys auto parts. It will not stretch enough to reach the tow vehicle. It will barley reach the connector which is under my front bumper but pulls out because of the strain when stretched. When fully stretched, it reaches 5feet 10 inches. Do you have one that will reach 7 or 71/2 feet when stretched without enough tension on it to pull out? I have a 2006 Winnebago Adventurer 38G with 7 pin blade connector. Im using a Roadmaster All terrian tow bar and my Dinghy is a Suzuki Grand Vitara with a 6 pin round connection.

We do have some options for you. The wiring connectors you need are in our Tow Bar section under Tow Bar wiring, and then wiring connectors. You can use the RoadMaster Flexo-Coil Cable, # RM-146-7. It is 8 feet long and goes from a 7-Way blade to a 6-Way round.

We also have the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 6-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord, # BX88206. This cable is 7 feet when stretched.

Between these two, I would go with the RoadMaster cable because the extra length may be needed. I have included a link to both parts and have also included a link to our series of FAQ articles on flat towing for you.
