Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness Where Both Blinkers Flash with Either Blinker On
Question:
I have installed the harness as directed - however when I use one blinker, both tail lights blink. Any suggestions?

First thing you should do at this point is test the 4-way of the wiring harness with a circuit tester part # PTW2993 for voltage on all of the right pins when the taillight signals are being applied. Just like in the video I attached.
If you see voltage on both blinker pins when either blinker is applied then the problem is the harness. If not then the problem is a short on the trailer's wiring between the two stop/turn circuits. Most likely exposed wire or corrosion between the wires is the issue.
