Troubleshooting Led Trailer Light Wiring to an Existing 7-Way Trailer Connection
Question:
When connecting new led lights to an existing seven pin outlet the left hand led unit has four wires red yellow green and grey I have managed to get this working but the right hand unit has an extra white wire which i dont know where it goes and cannot get any of that side lights to work has the white wire got to be grounded to solve my problem

I would need to see the actual light to assist. The wire color doesn't always fit with the function, however white does normally dictate ground connection on most lights and it will not work properly without a ground connection. My recommendation would be to connect a 12V battery to each wire and grounded to your trailer frame to confirm function. To test functions though your trailer wiring connection to your vehicle, you can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993.
The LED lights will connect the same way as incandescent lights in regards to wiring. I've attached an article to assist.

The wire color doesn't always fit with the function, however white does normally dictate ground connection on most lights and it will not work properly without a ground connection. My recommendation would be to connect a 12V battery to each wire and grounded to your trailer frame to confirm function.
