Replacing a 4-Way with a 6-Way when Flat Towing a 2015 Ford F-150 Behind an RV

Question:

I need to remove the 4 way plug and hard wire to a 6 way female withy the round connectors. I purchased the pollack metal unit from you. Please confirm how I should wire to the pollack 6 way. I also need to know which plug can be used to run a hot wire to the battery to charge when I am pulling the f150. I have an SMI delta force emergency braking system. Thanks,

For help with wiring up the 6-Way I have included a picture that shows how both a vehicle side and trailer side 6-Way are normally wired.

On a 6-Way the 12-volt power wire could be attached to the center pin or the pin in the 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock position (depending on which side you are looking at). I assume the 6-Way you are installing is going on the front of the F-150. All you need to do is figure out which pin on the tow vehicle and/or wiring harness from the tow vehicle to the F-150 carries the 12-volt circuit. Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 or a meter if you have one to test the pins for that 12-volt circuit.
