In order to carry a kayak on your 2012 Honda Pilot you will need a roof rack with crossbars, as there is no option for a kayak carrier that attaches just to your Pilot's raised side rails.
There is an economical roof rack option with the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG216. This rack will clamp around your Honda's side rails and uses aero bars to give you a quiet ride; the rack even has locking covers which secure the rack to your side rails. The bars measure 3-1/16" wide x 1' tall so they can handle a variety of accessories.
To carry your 10' kayak I recommend checking out the Malone J-Pro2 Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG117MD. This is a J-style carrier with a 75 lb capacity, uses foam pads to protect your kayak and includes a pair of cam buckle load straps as well as a pair of bow and stern tie-downs.
I've added links to video reviews of both the roof rack and kayak carrier for you to take a look at.
