Troubleshooting Vehicle Side Trailer Wiring on 2003 Ford F-250
Question:
Trying to figure out why even with the back trailer plug harness unhooked the fuse blows but if I come to under the cab and disconnect the harness it does not blow fuse where would my problem be on a 03 f250 four door with 5.4 triton

For your 2003 Ford F-250, I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test your harness. It sounds like you have narrowed down where the issue is and it sounds like you just now need to pinpoint the short location. You can use the circuit tester to individually test each wire for power and probe through wire insulation or you can simply replace that portion of wire since you are aware of the issue's location.
