Recommended Trunk Mount Bike Rack on a 2017 Honda HR-V

We carry a number of trunk mount bike racks that are confirmed to fit your 2017 Honda HR-V. I've linked our complete selection for you.

I recommend either the Over-the-Top 2-bike # HRF2 or 3-bike # HRF2-3 depending on how many bikes you need to carry. These racks are specifically designed to fit on vehicles with hatchbacks just like our HR-V. Especially those with spoilers. It has a high-rise frame to keep from damaging the spoiler. I've linked some videos of them being installed for you.

These are hanging bike racks, meaning the bikes are carried by being hung from the straight, horizontal cross tube that a typical men's bike has. If you're going to be using any women's, children's, or other bikes without that cross tube you may also need an adapter bar like the Swagman Deluxe, part # 64005. An adapter bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem to create a level mounting point.

Additionally, you may want to add security to the rack and bikes. We have a security strap, part # TH533, for the rack and a cable lock, part # e98891, for the bikes.
