Prodigy RF Brake Controller Installation in 2014 Lexus RX 450h That Has 4-Pole Wiring
Question:
I have a 2014 Lexus RX450h without Factory tow package, however I have installed the Factory 4-pin harness and tow relay, however the camper I just purchased has a 7-pin harness to include trailer-brake. What do you offer to convert my 4-pin to 7-pin and operate the trailer brakes without bulky hardware or extensive wiring??? I have purchased hitches and other items from you in the past. This is urgent. Thanks again

Trailers with electric drum brakes will require a trailer brake controller installation along with conversion of your 4-pole wiring to the 7-way format with the required additional circuits.
To convert your 4-pole wiring to the 7-way type you will use out kit # ETBC7 which includes the 7-way socket and all of the wiring and connector parts needed. The brake controller recommended for your RX 450h is the wireless Prodigy RF # TK94FR. The controller's main housing mounts on the trailer (in one of the positions shown in the linked diagram) and simply plugs in to the 7-way on the Lexus; the trailer's 7-way plug connects to the socket on the main housing.
