From my research your 2012 Honda Fit with an automatic transmission can be flat towed. You should verify with your owner's manual just to be sure. You're going to need a tow bar, base plate kit, wiring for the Fit's lights, a supplemental braking system, and probably a high-low adapter to do it.

Base plate kits are custom designed for the vehicle. I recommend the Roadmaster, part # 521190-1, for you. It's specifically designed for your Fit and is pretty well hidden when the arms are removed. It pairs well with the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain, part # RM-522. You'll also need to add safety cables, part # RM-643.

The Fit's lights need to operate alone with the motorhome's while it's being towed. I recommend our diode kit, part # RM-15267, to power them. It installs a 6-way connector at the front of the to plug into the RV. The cord between the two is also included. When towing for extended periods of time the Fit's battery will be drained. To prevent this Honda recommends pulling the 30 A accessory radio fuse. We offer a fuse bypass kit, part # RM76511, that makes this easier so you only have to fip a switch instead of removing the fuse and reinstalling it each time.

To tow safely you need the Fit's brakes to be applied when the motorhome's are. Not only is this more safe and less stressful on both vehicles but it's also the law in most states. I recommend the permanently installed kit, the Stay-IN-Play DUO, part # SM99251. The install is more involved than with a portable system but once you have it in the Fit it's much easier to set up everytime. Using a breaking system causes the towed vehicle's lights to override the motorhome's. To fix this use the Brake-Lite relay, part # RM-88400.

Finally, you're probably going to need a high-low adapter. This raises or lowers the height of the tow bar so it stays level with when connected to the Fit. You want the tow bar to be within 3 inches of levell when connected. I've attached an article to help you determne the correct high-low you need, if you need one, as well as our selection.

I've linked review and install videos on the recommended parts; as well as some general articles on flat towing that you may find helpful.
