Both the Curt hitch # 13358 and Draw-Tite hitch # 75601 will fit your 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 if you have the 170 inch wheel base and factory step bumper. Its almost a dead heat between the two, but I'm giving the edge to # 13358.
The # 13358 has more positive reviews about this product and it is made is the USA. It also step-by-step install videos for you to watch on an earlier model of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
Both hitches are Class III hitches with 2 inch receivers and they are all rated the same:
500 Pound Tongue Weight
5000 Pound Towing
Weight Distribution Towing Capacity:
750 lbs WD TW Pound Tongue Weight
7500 lbs WD GTW Pound Towing
Before towing, check your owners manual for the actual towing capacities of your vehicle.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And for trailer wiring you can add a 4-Way flat to the back of the van using # 119250KIT.
