Will a 5th Wheel Hitch Fit on a 2012 Toyota Tundra with an Extended Fuel Tank
Question:
I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4X4 5.7 engine. The truck has an extended 46 gal metal fuel tank on the drivers side that runs from the engine to the rear axle. There may be 1-2 inch between the end of the fuel tank and the rear axle. Can I still install a fifth wheel hitch on my Tundra? How much does the hitch itself weigh?

To install a 5th wheel hitch like the Curt A16 Slider # C16521 that you referenced, you first need to install a rail kit on your 2012 Toyota Tundra.
I recommend looking at the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16468-204. Since it is a custom fit option it installs using pre-existing holes in the frame of your pickup. Although I wouldn't be able to say for sure if the brackets will fit around your extended fuel tank, I have linked the installation details for the kit so you can compare the installation to what your frame looks like.
Please note that the A16 slider is meant to be used for a 6-1/2' bed. If you have a longer or shorter bed just let me know and I can make a recommendation for you.
You may also be interested in putting a 7-Way in the bed of your Tundra. By installing the Curt # C56070 it will make connecting and disconnecting the wiring from your 5th wheel much easier.
