Do the Bottom Legs of the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder # LA-401 Pivot for Installation
Question:
Does the attachment point at the bottom of the J-section the bottom-most attachment point pivot in any way to allow for flush-mount of the mounting plate to the RV when the RV is angled away from vertical. Or would I need to build some sort of shim?

Expert Reply:
The bottom legs of the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder # LA-401 do not pivot so you would need to use some sort of shim.
Since the ladder is adjustable by cutting the bottom of the ladder legs you could also just install it a little higher so that it sits without shims. You could then use the Ladder Extension # LA-148, which is 48" long, to reach the ladder.
