Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness on 2014 Kia Sorento Right Turn Lit All the Time
Question:
Ok bought the harness over 6 months ago in October 2017 ..with curt hitch. Have problem with the right turn signal staying on solid all the time with no trailer hooked up as soon as I pull the fuse out off the harness the light goes out. When I hook up trailer all I have is brake lights no hazards, turn signal ,with the fuse in and the right turn signal stays on solid. What can be my problem I havent had a problem since I put the harness in till couple weeks ago.

What you will want to do is test the wires going into the box of the converter box for voltage with a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to see if there is voltage going into the box when the taillight functions of your vehicle are applied, and then test the output side of the box to see if the current is making it through the converter. If not then the problem is that the converter box has shorted itself out and would need to be replaced.
I attached a video that details how to do this as well. Typically a short on the trailer wiring is what damages the converter box so go over the wiring of the trailer looking for any shorts and fix as needed so that a new harness would not short out.
For a replacement for your 2014 Kia Sorento the most reliable option we have is the Curt kit part # C56332 which will work great.
