Roof Rack Needed for a 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop Coupe w/ Hatchback
Question:
I have a Thule 53 inch Aeroblade system that was on a 2010 Jeep Commander. Is there a third party or Thule mounting option I can buy to use on these two crossbars? I see a unique Thule solution for a 2005 mini cooper that has an extension foot mount but Im not sure of its applicability to a 2015 mini. I also have a feeling that it is a discontinued product. I also was hunting for a vacuum/suction cup system and just am not having any luck. Any suggestions that allow me to use the Aeroblades would be great. 2015 2 door w hatchback hardtop mini cooper

I do have a solution for you, but unfortunately your 53" Thule AeroBlade bars will only fit on Thule roof rack legs and there are no fits for your 2015 Mini Cooper.
We do have some suction cup roof rack options like what you mentioned though. SeaSucker has created a powerful suction cup system (each cups has a pull strength of 210 lbs) and incorporated their own roof rack using the suction cups. Part # 298-SX6000B uses 48" round crossbars and have a 150 lb weight capacity.
You can add the SeaSucker Cable Anchor # 298-BA0010 and a Cable Lock # e98891 to add some security to your roof rack system.
I have attached a video that demonstrates how powerful these suction cups are for you to check out.
