Question:
I have 06 Ram 2500 long bed should I place the post in forward or rearward position, when assembling 5th wheel hitch with underbed receiver, thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
For a long bed truck like your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 I'd recommend going with the forward most position since it'll put more weight forward of the rear axle. Since you have a long bed you wouldn't need the additional clearance of having the arms of the hitch mounted in the rearward position.
You can also try this position first and then check for clearance issues between the cab and the trailer nose to see if you'd need additional clearance.
