Parts Needed to Add a Fully Functioning 7-Way to a 2006 Ford E-250
Question:
I have a 2006 e250 that does not have the tow package. I have a travel trailer with a 7 way already on it. Is it possible to be able wire a plug for that? Ive been looking but it seems like all the stuff for my van either relies on it having the tow package and just needing replacement or a 4 way flat setup.

We do have the equipment that you need to add a fully functioning 7-Way to your 2006 Ford E-250 but you do need a 4-Way on it. If you do not already have one then I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56020. This kit plugs in directly behind your tail lights and provides you with the basic lighting functions for your trailer.
Once you have a 4-Way connector on you E-250 you to install our Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This includes everything you need to add a fully functioning 7-Way and a 4-Way connector for many different towing applications.
To complete the installation you may also need some extra wire found as part # 10-2-1. A no-drill mounting bracket # 18136 allows you to install the wiring on your trailer hitch without drilling into it.
The ETBC7 kit has everything you need to then install a brake controller, like the Prodigy P2 # 90885, in your van. I have attached a few videos to help you with the installation of all of the electrical products.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch installed on your van then I recommend the Draw-Tite # 41945 which is a custom fit that doesn't require drilling (see attached video).
Should you need a ball mount and hitch ball we have the Curt # C45036 Kit which comes with a Class III 2" ball mount with a 2" drop, a 2" diameter hitch ball, and the pin and clip needed to secure it to your trailer hitch.
