Will the Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR Allow Rear Hatch Access for a 2001 VW Eurovan Camper
Question:
Hi I need a carrier for 2 e pedego bikes 1 has fenders for a VW eurovan camper...I have Thule 9032 easy fold for a mercedes sprinter RV...works great...can access the rear doors when bikes are off the rack... The Thule doesnt work for rear access to the VW...From the pics looks like the Hollywood sports rider would work by removing the bikes and folding the rack away from the rear door? Does this work for my VW? Thank You.

I have a way for you to determine if you can use the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR to carry your 2 Pedigo eBikes, but so far we haven't test fit it with a 2001 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper.
If you check out the attached picture you can note that when you fold the middle post down the closest point to the vehicle will we the top of the shank that the bike trays are attached to. This sits about 7-1/2" away and 6" high from the face of your trailer hitch. You can test this out by taking those measurements and seeing if the rear hatch on your Eurovan is near that area.
This bike rack has a weight capacity of 80 lbs per bike and has hooks that secure them by the top tube. This means that the fender on one of your bikes will not be in the way.
If either bike has a step-through frame then you also might want to make use of an adapter bar like part # HRBA-PRO. This will provide a cross tube that the ratcheting hook can make contact with to stabilize your bike.
