Recommended 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller for 2015 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Hello, I am looking to install one of your hitches, purchased from a friend to my 2015 Sienna. However, our pop up camper utilizes a 7-pole plug and I only see 4-pole on your website. Is there a way to plug and play a 7-pole harness to the vehicle harness? Or do we have to forego the electric brakes? Thanks so much

For your trailer wiring on your 2015 Toyota Sienna, you will want to start with a 4-way wiring harness like # 118648 for non-SE models or # 118498 for SE models. Then you will use the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to add a 7-way and connections for your brake controller which is required for your trailer brake function.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 for your brake controller because it is a proportional controller that will apply the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same amount of pressure as you hit the brake pedal in your Sienna. This controller has some easy to use presets to make use easy as well as an LCD screen that clearly gives you the information you need versus giving codes that need deciphering.
