Does P3 Brake Controller Need to Be Switched Off When Not in Use
Question:
Hello, I installed your ETBC7 kit along with the P3 brake controller on my FJ Cruiser according to your install videos, however I noticed with this method the brake controller always has power, even when the car is off. Is this the way its supposed to be or can it be changed to only on when car is on or a manual switch? Thanks

Brake controllers such as the P3 you referenced # 90195 will go into a sleep mode after about 15 minutes of it sensing no movement. If you peek through the window after 15 minutes then it should be in sleep mode. Opening the door or causing movement to the truck could cause it to wake back up.
Using a manual switch to cut power isn't recommended as it causes you to lose all the settings you picked.
