Installation of Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 118500, is fairly straight forward. Below I have outlined the instructions for you.
First, open rear hatch. Temporarily remove all floor coverings, exposing the spare tire compartment. Remove the spare tire. Next, locate blue 6 pin tow plug near the foam cargo tray. It will be taped to the vehicle electrical harness with blue tape. Then, you will insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle Tow-Plug harness and lock it into place. Locate a flat surface under the foam cargo tray to mount the T-Connector black converter box with the double-sided tape. The 4-Flat connector can be stored in the spare tire compartment when not in use.
All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly. Test and verify
installation with a test light like # PTW2993 or a trailer once installed. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering and other items that may have been removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
