How to Raise a Bike Rack on the Rear of an RV

Question:

I want to use this extension to raise my bike rack on the back of my RV, will this handle the weight of two Ebikes? Total Combined weight of the two bikes is 70 lbs. also using a thule bike rack with 2 inch receiver

I do have an opinion for you but the Replacement Bent Towing Receiver part # SP325 will not work with your Thule bike rack as it is designed to be used with the Swagman Traveler XCS part # S64664 only. Instead, I recommend either using the MaxxTow Ball Mount part # MT70066 or the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver part # RM-077-8. If you are towing a trailer behind your RV then you will want to use the MaxxTow ball mount but if you are flat-towing a vehicle behind your RV then you will want to use the Roadmaster adapter.

Please keep in mind that due to the added stress that occurs on a bike rack that is placed on the rear of an RV or trailer, the bike rack must be rated for this use. None of the Thule bike racks are RV approved therefore I cannot recommend you use your rack to carry 2 electric bikes on the rear of your RV. For an RV approved bike rack that will allow you to carry 2 electric bikes on the back of your RV, I recommend using the Swagman E-Spec 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S94FR.

You can see some of the features of this bike rack in the review video I have attached for you below.
