Trailer Hitch Receiver that Keeps Factory Tow Hooks on a 2016 Jeep Compass
Question:
I am looking at receiver hitches for a 2016 Jeep Compass. The Curt model said you need to remove the toe hook to install it. Do all models you offer require that? Im lookin b to keep the hook if possible. Thanks.

The Class III Curt trailer hitch receiver that fits your 2016 Jeep Compass is part # C13081 and does require permanent removal of the tow hooks if you have them. I've linked the install details and a video for you.
However, the Draw-Tite Class III hitch that fits your Jeep, part # 75712, allows you to reinstall the tow hooks. The hooks do need to be temporarily removed to install the hitch. But after installation they can be reinstalled, if you choose. You'll need to drive the existing bolts out of the tow hook and drill the holes. Then used the supplies hardware to reinstall the hook on the Jeep. The install details and a video for this hitch are also attached.
