Recommendation For A Trailer Hitch For A 2015 Kia Soul
Question:
The hitch is two inches too long for a 2015 Kia Soul.

Every vehicle is slightly different and needs a hitch designed for their frame. This particular hitch is too long because it is not specifically designed to fit a 2015 Kia Soul. For your 2015 Kia Soul, the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, Item # 24915, is a confirmed fit. This hitch will not work with an EV model and none of our manufacturers offer one for an EV model at this time.
This Draw-Tite hitch is a Class I with a 1-1/4 inch opening that bolts-on and can be used for light-duty towing normally associated with small trailers, bike racks, or cargo carriers. It has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000-lbs and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200-lbs. Be sure to check your owner's manual for your vehicle's capacity. It has a concealed cross tube so it does not "stick out" from your bumper.
If you plan to use your hitch for towing, you will need wiring like the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness, Item # C56220, for models with LED lights or the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness, Item # C56222, for models without LED lights. You will also need a ball mount like the Draw-Tite Drawbar, Item # 3593, and a pin and clip which are included. You will also need the right-sized ball. Depending on what size you need, I recommend Curt Item # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or Curt Item # A-82 for a 2 inch ball.
I have attached additional information and videos for you to check out that will assist you with your project.
