Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Controller Not Receiving Power After Brake Light Switch Was Replaced

I just changed my stoplight switch on brake pedal. Now my trailer brake controller does not have power,

The power of your brake controller should not be effected by the stop light switch. When you connect a brake controller, the 12V power comes into the controller on the black wire. The red wire is the one that connects to the cold side of your brake controller. This red wire does tell the brake controller that you are hitting your brake pedal so it can send the appropriate braking power to your trailer brakes via the blue brake controller output wire. I've attached an article to help you with troubleshooting.

I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test your functions. You may have blown a fuse in the process of replacing your brake stoplight switch, so I recommend checking your owners manual for possible fuse or relay locations as well.
