How to Prevent Ball Mount From Rattling Inside Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
The receiver is too large for standard ball mounts. I have 2 different ones that clang loudly while driving down the road. What am I supposed to do?

We currently have 2 trailer hitch receivers for your 2007 Honda Fit which are the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch part # 24776 and the Curt Trailer Hitch part # C11058. Both of these trailer hitches have a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. The ball mount that is best suited for your vehicle and hitch is part # C45521 which also has a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening.
It is not uncommon for a bit of play to occur inside the trailer hitch receivers tube opening with the ball mount, but this can all be eliminated by using a stabilizer like part # RM-061-125. This device secures the ball mount inside the receiver tube opening which eliminates rattling and or vibrations.
