Difference Between Lippert Kwikee 32 Series Step # LC3722615 and # LC372261

Question:

Hello I have a 2010 damon outlaw with 2 doors and I want to replace both steps. In your description of different part numbers the unit ending with 615 has less parts but cost 200 more? I believe the setup I need will be the unit ending with 261. I dont need the door switch but figured it wouldnt hurt to have a spare switch. Just curious why the one step 615 has less but cost more. There was a recall on these steps and when I bought my rv used 2 years ago the original owner couldnt get the recall work done before I picked rv up 800 miles away . the steps work fine but its just a matter of time before the shoulder bolt breaks. The main reason for replacing both units is cosmetic, they are rusted and ugly! I can get the local dealer to do recall but then the steps should be striped and re-powder coated and I dont feel like doing that. Im ready to order 2 steps, do you need any info off my steps to get this order in? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Lippert just to verify the contents of the Lippert Components Kwikee 32 Series Double Tread Step # LC372261 that you referenced. He did confirm that this particular 2 step assembly includes everything needed (control unit, switch kit, frame, motor, etc). This is the complete kit for the 2 step model Kwikee 32 Series assembly.

He did also confirm that the # LC3722615 that you also mentioned includes everything that the above model has, except for the Switch Kit. He stated he is not really sure why there is such a price difference between the two items and this is simply how Lippert chose to price them. He did assure me again though that the # LC372261 will include absolutely everything you need.
