I did some online research, and found that Winnebagos of recent manufacture are wired for a brake controller.
My contact at Tekonsha tells me that they do not offer a brake controller wiring adapter. He suggested contacting Winnebago for this item. He told me that the connector is under the dash, to the left of the steering column. It is black in color and rectangular. If you cannot locate a wiring adapter, you can always cut off the connector, and wire the brake controller directly to the tow package wiring. If you wish to do this, the controller would wire up as follows:
Large gauge red and white tow package wire attaches to the blue controller wire
Black tow package wire attaches to the white controller wire
Small gauge red and white tow package wire attaches to the red controller wire
Red tow package wire attaches to black controller wire.
If you do not already have a brake controller, you cannot go wrong with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This controller is our best seller, primarily because it is so easy to use and set up.
The install is pretty simple, choose a location to mount the controller. We typically install them to the right of the steering column, but wherever you install it, make sure it is within easy reach of the driver and oriented as described in the install instructions.
