Transmission Cooler Needed for a 2007 Jeep Compass

Question:

I am looking for a transmission cooler for a 2007 Jeep Compass. Your site lists several for the car. I would like the most effective unit available for the vehicle, and the proper additional clip/compression fitting I have seen in your videos online. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. Best regards,

Although there are quite a few vehicle accessories that are specific to the year/make/model of a given vehicle, transmission coolers are the exception.

When looking for a transmission cooler you want to find the biggest one that will fit in your engine compartment to get the most out of it. The best place to install a transmission cooler is in between the grille and AC condenser core on your 2007 Jeep Compass as this will allow the most airflow to cool the fluid more efficiently. I have attached some helpful articles that have some additional information that is useful when choosing a cooler.

If you have room for it, I recommend going with the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13503 which measures 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep as you can see from the attached photo.

We haven't had a chance to install a cooler on a 2007 Compass as of yet so we are unaware of any special fittings, however when you look at a 2008 Compass there are no special fittings needed for this cooler.
