Is There Drilling Or Cutting Involved to Install Draw Tite Hitch on 2016 Ford Escape
Question:
concerning Drawtight hitch #75758...in the video......on your website the man says there is no cutting necessary for installation on a 2016 Ford Escape. In this installation video of the same hitch,..... the installer has to cut the frame rail hole with a Dremel tool to insert the bolt. So do you need to cut the hole larger or not? Thanks

Expert Reply:
I apologize for any confusion, but there is some frame hole enlargement to install the Draw Tite hitch part # 75758.
Draw Tite states that the install is "much easier if the access hole is enlarged" so that would indicate to us that it's possible to get by without doing it, but it's going to be easier to fish the install hardware into place with the hole being larger.
