I spoke with my contact at Camco regarding the Power Grip Generator Adapter # CAM55422 referenced in your question. He stated that the adapter features 6 gauge wire and 8 gauge for ground.
This is a very nice 125-Volt adapter cord that will convert your RV's 50-amp power plug to work with a 30-amp twist-lock outlet on a generator. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
