Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2011 Cadillac SRX
Question:
I want to add a trailer hitch to my 2011 Cadillac SRX. I will probably go with the Draw Tight part number: 75682. Im just not sure what trailer wiring harness to order with the hitch. It looks like you offer two choices. Does it matter which one I order?

In order to determine if you can use Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 118259, or Curt Wiring Harness, # 56096, you will need to check to see if your 2011 Cadillac SRX has the connection point. The connection point is located beneath the rear of the vehicle behind the bumper. I have included a link to the installation instructions that show what you will be looking for. If you find that connector on your SRX, you can use either harness, though the Tow Ready harness is longer.
If you do not see the connector, you will need to use hardwire kit, # C59496. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you to view.
